Are you a skilled and passionate Chef looking for your next opportunity? Sodexo is looking for a dedicated Chef to join the team at Bulford, Wiltshire. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals, ensuring excellent standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene. You will work as part of a professional catering team, using your culinary expertise to deliver great food and a reliable service every day.
What you’ll do:
- Assist with the preparation, cooking, and service of meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety and hygiene, ensuring full compliance with EHO guidelines
- Work collaboratively with the front-of-house team to deliver outstanding service
- Prepare and serve meals for military personnel, ensuring high standards are maintained every day
- Oversee kitchen cleanliness and sanitation, ensuring best practices are consistently followed
- Support high-profile events and special functions, showcasing your culinary skills and expertise
- Take part in bulk cooking, maintaining consistency, quality, and presentation across all dishes
What you bring:
- Previous cook experience within a catering, hospitality, or food service environment, ideally within military or government catering, with a minimum of 5 years’ culinary experience
- Relevant culinary qualifications such as City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Professional Cookery
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards, with IOSH qualification desirable
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-focused environment while maintaining high standards
- Passion for food, excellent attention to detail, and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
