Join our team with Sodexo as a Chef in a unique and rewarding role within a Ministry of Defence environment, where you’ll work alongside military personnel preparing high-quality meals and supporting a variety of events and functions. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of something bigger, using your culinary skills to make a real difference in a fast-paced, professional, and supportive setting.
What you’ll do:
- Prepare, cook, and serve high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Deliver excellent food service to military personnel while maintaining consistently high standards
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and EHO regulations at all times
- Support kitchen cleanliness and sanitation, following best practices across all areas
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams to support daily service, bulk catering, and special events
What you bring:
- Previous chef experience within a catering, hospitality, or food service environment, ideally within military or government catering
- Relevant culinary qualifications such as City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Professional Cookery
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards, with IOSH qualification desirable
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-focused environment while maintaining high standards
- Passion for food, excellent attention to detail, and basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
