Join one of Scotland's most prestigious venues and play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences. We're looking for a talented Chef de Partie to prepare and present high-quality dishes for Members of Parliament, guests, and visitors. Working as part of a skilled kitchen team, you'll help deliver outstanding food across a range of dining services, maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene, and professionalism. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a renowned catering operation where excellence, attention to detail, and teamwork are at the heart of everything you do.
What you’ll do:
- Lead exceptional hospitality delivery by ensuring every event and service is expertly planned, prepared and executed to the highest standards.
- Inspire and develop your team through engaging briefings, coaching, training and performance feedback, creating a motivated and high-performing culture.
- Champion safety and compliance by maintaining excellent food hygiene, allergen management, health & safety and quality standards across all hospitality operations.
- Build strong client relationships by working closely with clients and the events team to anticipate needs, resolve challenges and deliver memorable guest experiences.
- Drive operational excellence by managing stock, administration, maintenance reporting and proactively identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and service.
- Embrace continuous improvement by leading by example, supporting the wider catering operation when required, and contributing ideas that enhance performance and customer satisfaction.
What you'll bring:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience working in a professional kitchen, ideally as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role.
- Strong culinary skills with a passion for producing high-quality dishes to consistently high standards.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- A good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations. Food Safety Level 2 is desirable but can be provided through training.
- A positive, reliable, and team-focused approach, with the flexibility to work collaboratively and successfully complete Scottish Parliament security clearance.
