Salary: £15.50 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 2:30pm
Contract: Term-time only, 39 Working week contract, Equated pay (Spread over 12 months)

Lead Our School Catering Team!

Are you an experienced school catering professional looking for your next opportunity? At Sodexo, we’re looking for a passionate and motivated Catering Manager to join our team at Christ Church CE Primary School.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of the catering operation, lead a dedicated team and help provide nutritious, high-quality meals for around 200 pupils each day.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and manage the day-to-day catering operation at the school.
• Manage, motivate and develop the catering team to deliver an excellent service.
• Prepare and serve high-quality, nutritious meals for approximately 200 pupils each day.
• Follow agreed recipes, menus, policies and catering procedures consistently.
• Ensure all food is prepared and served to a high standard.
• Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene and allergen standards.
• Manage stock levels, ordering and minimise food waste.
• Build positive relationships with the school, pupils, staff and wider Sodexo team.
• Support and manage special events and hospitality requirements when needed.
• Ensure all catering processes and procedures are followed consistently.

What You Bring:

• Must have previous experience working within a school catering environment, ideally preparing and serving large quantities of meals (around 200 dinners per day).
• Must be confident following recipes, menus, policies and agreed catering procedures consistently.
• A genuine passion for food and delivering a great service.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and support a team.
• Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene and allergen requirements.
• Experience with stock control, ordering and menu planning.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work confidently in a busy school environment.
• A positive attitude and willingness to get involved and lead by example.
