Sodexo is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Catering Assistant to join our team at a busy corporate site in Leopardstown.

You’ll play an important role in delivering a high-quality catering service, supporting food preparation and service while ensuring counters, dining areas and kitchen facilities are maintained to excellent standards.

Working as part of a collaborative team, you’ll help create a welcoming experience for customers while supporting the smooth and efficient running of the daily catering operation.

What you’ll do:

• Prepare, serve and replenish food across hot food counters, deli bars, breakfast stations and other service areas

• Set up service counters to ensure food, utensils, displays, menus and allergen information are ready for service

• Support the preparation and service of hot beverages within coffee shop areas

• Deliver a friendly, professional and efficient customer experience across serving, retail and dining areas

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen, service and dining areas

• Clean and sanitise equipment, workstations and service areas before, during and after service

• Support with deliveries and stock replenishment, following FIFO stock rotation procedures

• Operate the till system and process customer payments in line with company procedures

• Support the management of staff breaks to ensure service areas remain appropriately covered during busy periods

• Work closely with the Manager, Supervisor and Head Chef to support an efficient and high-quality service

• Support the induction and development of new starters and agency colleagues, helping them understand site procedures and service standards

• Mentor junior members of the team and promote a positive, professional and supportive working environment

• Follow all relevant food safety, hygiene, allergen and health & safety procedures

• Support the wider catering operation during busy periods and events as required

What you’ll bring:

• Previous experience in hospitality, catering or food service is desirable but not essential

• Strong customer service skills and a professional, welcoming approach

• Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards

• Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering high standards

• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

• A positive, proactive and flexible approach to your work

• Ability to work confidently in a busy service environment

• Willingness to learn and support the development of colleagues

• A team-focused attitude with a willingness to assist wherever required
