About the Role
As a Casual Food Kitchen Assistant, you’ll support the day-to-day running of a busy food service operation. From preparing and serving food to keeping the kitchen and dining areas clean and organised, you’ll help ensure everything runs smoothly.
You’ll work as part of a supportive team delivering great service while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
What You Will Do
- Support the smooth day-to-day running of catering services at
- Organise and oversee daily tasks, ensuring high standards of service, presentation and cleanliness are maintained.
- Prepare and serve food while adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Assist with hospitality events, including set-up, service and clear-down.
- Ensure all food service areas are safe, clean and welcoming for pupils, staff and visitors.
- Monitor and complete required health and safety, food safety and temperature records.
- Support colleagues across different catering areas as needed, helping to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Promote a positive and professional environment while leading by example.
What You Bring
- Previous experience in a catering, hospitality or customer service environment.
- A positive, proactive and hands-on approach to work.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy setting.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional manner.
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and health & safety.
- A reliable, self-motivated and hardworking attitude.
- Flexibility and a willingness to support different areas of the catering operation when required.
- A passion for delivering a high-quality service and creating a positive experience for every customer.
