Northumbria University students are being offered the first opportunity
to join a team carrying out a deep clean of communal areas and kitchens within student accommodation buildings across Newcastle.
Key Details
- Location: Various student accommodation sites across Newcastle
- Dates: 8th – 22nd June 2026
- Pay: £12.71 per hour
- Bonus: 2 weeks free accommodation
- Training & PPE: Provided before the project starts
- Experience: Helpful but not essential
What You’ll Be Doing
Working as part of a team to deep clean communal spaces and shared kitchens, including:
- Cleaning student rooms
- Deep cleaning ovens, hobs, fridges and freezers
- Cleaning cupboards, worktops and sinks
- Dusting and sanitising surfaces
- Vacuuming and mopping floors
- Cleaning hallways, stairwells and communal walkways
- Removing marks from doors, walls and high-touch areas
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for students who:
- Have a positive, can-do attitude
- Enjoy working as part of a team
- Take pride in doing a good job
- Are reliable and willing to get stuck in
Experience is desirable but not essential.
Important Information
The 2 weeks free accommodation is provided by the university subject to completion of the agreed working hours.
