Join our dynamic team at Manchester Foundation NHS Trust Hospital as the pivotal leader responsible for the strategic and operational management of our contracted Hard and Soft FM services.

This high profile role offers the opportunity to oversee and develop governance frameworks, drive service excellence, and collaborate closely with key stakeholders to deliver integrated, patient focused FM solutions. With a deep understanding of PFI healthcare environments and a proven track record in FM leadership, you will play a critical role in supporting the Trusts clinical objectives while managing site assets and risk.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive client retention and communication strategy, representing Sodexo as the primary contract lead in meetings with the Trust
  • Full accountability for P and L management, ensuring financial targets are met within budget, with regular reporting on risks and opportunities
  • Lead and oversee operational service delivery with a focus on high standards, Health and Safety, and enhancing the patient experience
  • Manage and develop the site’s business plan, including budgets, efficiency programmes, and driving third party income generation
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual, PFI, and governance protocols, including meeting all KPIs and delivering monthly performance reports
  • Motivate, develop, and manage the management team and frontline staff, fostering engagement and continuous improvement
  • Maintain a visible leadership presence within the Trust and foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including SPV and Senior Management
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks through structured processes, ensuring a zero LTI safety record and effective emergency response

What You Bring:

  • Proven experience in managing client facing healthcare services, including Hard FM, Soft FM and PFI contracts, across multiple complex sites
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and hold teams accountable for high performance
  • Demonstrable financial acumen and commercial awareness with excellent numerical and PC skills
  • Effective communicator and influencer with the ability to build strong partnerships and influence key decision makers
  • Resilient and proactive, with a track record of achieving results in challenging situations and limited timeframes
  • Ability to identify new opportunities, drive continuous improvement, and deliver change within contracted services
  • Skilled in performance management, addressing issues effectively, and maximising employee engagement
