Are you an experienced, qualified bricklayer who enjoys helping others learn? Put your skills to use in a role where you can make a lasting difference.
We’re looking for a motivated Bricklaying Tutor to join our Industries Department at HMP & YOI Peterborough. You’ll help learners develop practical trade skills, work towards recognised qualifications and build their confidence as they prepare for employment on release.
You’ll be part of our Education, Skills & Work team, delivering practical, engaging training and supporting learners with a range of abilities and needs. Alongside teaching bricklaying, you’ll encourage safe working habits, teamwork and pride in a job well done.
A teaching or assessor qualification and previous prison experience would be an advantage, but neither is essential. We’re looking for strong trade knowledge, clear communication and a real commitment to helping people progress.
Please see the attached job description for the full responsibilities and role requirements.
Please see the attached benefits information for further details.
HMP Peterborough houses men and women on the same site and has a strong focus on rehabilitation and resettlement. Education, vocational training and employment opportunities help people develop the skills they need to prepare for life beyond prison.
As a Bricklaying Tutor, you’ll play a practical part in that work, helping learners see what they can achieve and take positive steps towards their future.
