About the role
Heritage Portfolio are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join the team at Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.
It is one of the world's leading botanical gardens, home to a spectacular and diverse living collection of plants. Set in the most beautiful of surroundings. Our emphasis is on fresh, delicious food prepared daily on site using local and seasonal produce including fruit, vegetables and herbs grown right here in our very own Botanics Kitchen Garden!
Working flexible shift patterns evening and weekends are a must! We are looking for outstanding customer focused individuals, our people not only look after our customers and clients, they are also the heart and soul of our business. What you'll do
What you’ll do:
- You will support daily food service operations including counter service, and barista coffee making, while delivering a consistently high standard of customer care.
- Provide excellent customer service through the preparation, presentation, and service of food and beverages
- Maintain high standards of personal presentation and professionalism
- Support the setup and presentation of food service areas & maintain cleanliness
- Assist with replenishing food, beverages, and equipment during service
- Assist with stock control, minimising waste, and supporting sales
- Handle food carefully, including awareness of special dietary requirements and allergies
- Report customer feedback, complaints, incidents, or hazards promptly
What you'll bring
What you’ll bring:
- Experience in food service, catering, hospitality, or a similar frontline role
- Previous food handling experience
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Professional appearance and high standards of personal hygiene
- Good understanding of health and safety practices
