Chef Manager

Job Introduction

We are currently have an opportunity for an experienced Chef Manager to join our business on a fixed term basis. In this role, you will support the team to lead the catering operation for a corporate client. This role is ideal for someone looking for an immediate start.

Role Responsibility

  • Efficient management of an employee restaurant, delivering services to our customers across a 7 day operation including breakfast, lunch and tea services
  • Lead and engage with the team, providing and support and training as required
  • Ensure all food is prepared to a high standard as per service level agreement, Company policy and current legislation.
  • Control and monitor the financial performance of the unit and to maintain costs within pre-budgeted targets.
  • Establish and maintain satisfactory relationships with individuals at all levels within the Company and the Client organisation.
  • Implement and maintain the Statutory and Company standards of hygiene, health and safety and take any action as is necessary.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within contract catering
  • Excellent cooking and presentation skills
  • Good financial awareness
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of managing a team within a catering environment
  • Knowledge of Food Hygiene and Health & Safety
  • City & Guilds 1 & 2 Catering or NVQ equivalent
