We are looking for a dedicated Stores Operative to support the Executive Chef and catering team in delivering high-quality food and service. You will play a key role in maintaining food standards, compliance, and operational excellence in line with Sodexo policies and procedures.
Assist the Executive Chef in ensuring food quality, safety, and hygiene throughout the full food cycle in line with HACCP standards
Support and guide catering staff to perform their roles to a high standard
Ensure compliance with all statutory, company, and site Health & Safety, OH&S, COSHH, fire, hygiene, and safe working practices
Monitor, maintain, and report on the safe use and condition of all equipment
Maintain agreed stock levels and place orders with Sodexo-nominated suppliers
Ensure financial documentation, supplier invoices, and unit accounts are accurate and within budget
Ensure the unit meets Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and internal audit standards
Contribute to positive client relationships and high levels of customer satisfaction
Support company initiatives and drive continuous improvement within the unit
Ensure the establishment, equipment, and monies are safe and secure at all times
Proven experience in catering services
Experience working in a standards- or compliance-driven environment
Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and Health & Safety regulations
Relevant Health & Safety qualifications or training
Strong communication and customer service skills
Passion for food, service, and innovation
Ability to work collaboratively within a team
