Sodexo is recruiting a Production Cleaning Operative to work within a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) controlled environment at the Catalent Pharma Solutions site in Swindon.
This role supports pharmaceutical production by ensuring all cleaning activities meet strict GMP, hygiene, and compliance standards. Work is carried out in controlled production areas and requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to procedures.
GMP cleaning involves working in regulated production environments where cleanliness directly impacts product safety and quality. The role requires:
Following detailed cleaning schedules, SOPs, and validation processes
Wearing site-specific PPE and adhering to strict gowning and hygiene procedures
Using approved chemicals and equipment in line with COSHH and GMP requirements
Completing cleaning records and documentation accurately and on time
Maintaining contamination control at all times
Full GMP training will be provided.
Carry out production and industrial cleaning tasks within GMP-controlled areas.
Follow all cleaning schedules, SOPs, and site procedures accurately.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness to support pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and correctly.
Complete all GMP documentation and cleaning records as required.
Follow health & safety, COSHH, and contamination control procedures at all times.
Report hazards, defects, or deviations immediately to the supervisor.
Work independently and as part of a team to meet operational requirements.
Previous cleaning experience is essential
Experience working in GMP, pharmaceutical, food, or other regulated environments is desirable.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures.
A reliable, professional, and disciplined approach to work.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
Willingness to wear PPE and comply with controlled environment standards.
