- Shift pattern: Monday to Friday (One weekend in four)
- Rate of pay: £11.67 per hour (£15.78 on Saturdays, £19.74 on Sundays) Rising to £12.45 per hour in year 3

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Zone Co-ordinator to manage the day to day running of services and staff within a specified zonal area at North Devon District Hospital.
You will provide a level of supervision within patient food services and domestic operations and also provide cover for other Co-ordinators during holidays and other absences.

Main Responsibilities
- Oversee curriculum and job-related training to ensure delivery and record completion is as required
- Ensure payroll procedures (UDC, KRONOS) are carried out correctly on a weekly basis to ensure the accurate and timely payment of all staff. Deal with any payroll queries and errors as a priority liaising directly with payroll as appropriate
- Maintain staffing levels in line with service requirements; liaising with agencies if necessary
- Establish good working relationships with service users - attend meetings and complete checks as requested
- Ensure monitoring takes place as per contractual requirements and rectifications are signed off
- Oversee compliance checks as required – including electrical and equipment checks
- Manage staff in line with the appropriate policies in relation to issues including conduct, performance, absence, grievance, fair treatment, pay progression, leave and all other HR policies
- Complete month end stock take
- Ensure health and safety standards are understood and delivered across all of hospital operations
- Contract compliance and being accountable for delivering services to the contract and service specification in an efficient manner.
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven supervisory experience in the support services, facilities management, leisure, retail sectors, (or related), ideally with exposure to the healthcare market
- Proven leadership qualities – ability to manager and develop a team
- Knowledge of Health and Safety and compliance policies
- Proficient IT user (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Financial knowledge
- A confident and adept communicator, with the ability to operate effectively at all levels.
