As a Portering Supervisor with Sodexo at Hereford County Hospital You will be in responsible for leading a team and managing daily porterage operations to improve the quality of people's lives. Ensuring that your team creates a clean and sterile environment for the well-being and safety of patients, staff, and visitors is a critical role in preventing the spread of infection. What You’ll Do

  • Lead and motivate a dedicated portering team, coordinating daily tasks and activities.
  • Plan and oversee portering operations ensuring patient records, materials and equipment are safety and appropriately transferred
  • Maintain a safe working environment for all employees across the facility.
  • Adhere to all company, client, and legal health & safety procedures, including COSHH, hygiene, cleanliness, and fire safety.
  • Support onboarding, training, and development of cleaning staff to build a high-performing team.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role, ideally within facilities management.
  • Physical ability to carry out manual aspects of the role.
  • A strong commitment to health, safety, and hygiene.
  • Professional integrity, reliability, and a positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills.
