Salary: £24,241.13 rising to £25,050.85 after 1 years service
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Purpose of the Job:
The Switchboard Operator and Postroom Assistant will manage the switchboard system from 9:00 AM to 4:15 PM during the working week and assist with sorting and opening mail to ensure timely processing.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer all incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate department.
Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with callers and visitors.
Ensure all mail, including prisoner correspondence, is sorted and processed by the end of the day.
Assist with any additional postroom-related duties.
Key Requirements:
Previous experience in administrative or customer service roles.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
