About the Role

At Sodexo, we run an efficient high-quality cleaning service for our customers. To provide this vital service we have a team of cleaning operators working with us, and we currently have a vacancy for a cleaning supervisor to join us! 

You will be responsible for managing your workload and that of your team, with a focus on ensuring a strict daily cleaning schedule is followed, ensuring to maintain a clean hygienic environment, whilst upholding a high level of cleanliness.

A few things about you

Customer service is at the heart of everything we do, so it’s important to have a positive, approachable attitude and excellent communication skills with the ability to demonstrate great teamwork!   

You must have experience working in a similar industry and have previous experience supervising a team. You will have a keen eye for detail and good knowledge of hygiene regulations.

You will need to be a keen learner, as you will have continuous training opportunities throughout your career.  

Role Responsibility

 

  • To have a full understanding of the areas to be cleaned .
  • Meet the demands of customers by completing and ensuring the required cleaning tasks in accordance with Standard operating procedures (SOP) and as requested via service manager.
  • Ensure all documentation is correctly completed and within the agreed time scales.
  • Actively seek and identify opportunities for business growth within your work area
  • Ensure the prompt provision and efficient service at the specified time to the standards laid down in the KPI's.
  • 'Walk the floor' during cleaning tasks to identify and rectify any issues relating to the cleaning standards of the assets, to support service Manager with delivering Great Training and GMP training for all staff.
  • Attend team board meetings.
  • Comply with all Company & Client policies, site rules and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards in your work place.
  • To undertake cleaning audits in relation to service delivery.
  • Ensure that all equipment used, is in safe working order, checked regularly and serviced.  Report any faults as required through the service desk, ensure they are rectified and ensure equipment is not used until safe.
  • Ensure your service manager is made aware of stock levels to ensure replenishment of stock can be delivered in advance of requirement.
  • To take adequate steps to ensure the security of Company and Client property under your control.
  • Ensure you project a positive, approachable, friendly and professional image.
  • To attend an annual PDR with your Line Manager and to agree and take ownership of your PDR and your training and development needs.
  • Attend Company Training Courses and Company Meetings as requested.
  • Provide cover for holidays/sickness of others as requested by service manager.
  • In conjunction with CSM ensure local teams are trained to the required standards
  • To provide first line response to local team
 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in cleaning within a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment or similar nature (e.g food standards)
  • Industry acumen and knowledge of cleaning tasks
  • Experienced in adhering to and driving company initiatives

Package Description

4 on 4 off shift pattern, 11 hour shifts.
