What you’ll do:
- Head the student residential M&E team, ensuring top-notch service delivery across the university.
- Collaborate effectively with the Engineering Lead and the broader engineering team to foster efficient and responsive maintenance services through the CAFM system (QFM).
- Coordinate efficiently with both in-house and subcontracted labour to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Uphold and implement the standards of the Sodexo 'Safe System of Work' and comply with the clients Permit to Work system (SOTERWEB).
- Conduct regular audits of both planned and reactive work initiatives to maintain a high standard of compliance and quality.
- Guide the development and training of team members, facilitating their career progression.
- Maintain open and constructive communication with various stakeholders, including the Sodexo Service Delivery Manager and client staff to ensure high service standards.
What you bring:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in building services and plant engineering, coupled with relevant formal qualifications such as an HND or NVQ in a pertinent subject.
- Previous experience as an Authorised Person in disciplines like LV, Mechanical Services, Confined Spaces, or similar.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in numeracy and computer literacy.
- Proven experience in managing a team of engineers, with a preference for candidates holding an IOSH Managing Safety qualification.
- An understanding or experience working with Grade 1 & 2 Listed and World Heritage Listed properties is preferable.
- Membership of the Institute of Leadership and Management (preferred).
- (Optional) Emergency first aid qualification.
