About the role
To support the service delivery of the COVID-19 testing Laboratory, we are seeking to recruit individuals to become part of our night security team in Leamington Spa.
This is a customer facing role so customer service experience would be key. We need someone with good verbal and written communication skills, who will be empathetic towards staff and visitors but also be able to provide assistance if a security or safety risk arises.
You must hold an SIA front-line licence and have experience working in a similar role.
If you hold an SIA CCTV licence great! If not we still want to hear from you, course and licence will be provided.
As Sodexo embeds a strong Safety culture in everything we do, there will be compliance procedures, site specific guidelines and regulations to follow so it is vital that you manage and maintain all site records and incident reporting.
Role Responsibility
Greet and meet the customer in a professional manor
Maintain the security of the premises via internal and external patrols
Report all abnormalities to the Security Supervisor / GSM
Reply to all Emails and phone calls promptly and professionally
Maintain accurate inputting and recording of the DOB, Key register, Search sheets etc.
Respond to all confidential waste removal request
Preform desk drops around the building as requested
Ensure that ID cards are issued with relevant clearance levels including regular auditing
Patrol high risk areas (Coms room, pilot plant and fridge/freezers)
Assist with the evacuation of the building
Visual presence at the entrance to the labs
Car Park Duties (including of checking of employee’s temperatures prior to these people boarding the coach)
The Ideal Candidate
Must hold a valid SIA licence
Good written and spoken English
Good knowledge of word, excel and outlook
Must be flexible to work days, nights and weekends
Able to respond to all emergencies swiftly
Ability to type up full and detailed incident reports
Package Description
We currently have opportunities for Security Officers to join our night team within a state of the art laboratory site in Leamington Spa. You will need to be an experienced security professional with a valid SIA licence and great customer focus as you will be interacting with the site staff on a regular basis. you will be working as part of a team but you should be able to think on your feet, be resourceful and able to operate with minimal instruction, you will report directly into the security supervisor.
Your work week would average to 42 working hours with 12 hour shifts in a pattern of 4 nights on, 4 nights off.
