Sodexo Live! is recruiting for a Sales Manager to join our team at the Fulham Pier. 

In this crucial role, you will be responsible for ensuring a high performing sales culture is enforced and that the sales team exceed all proactive sales targets as well as the successful conversion of sales enquiries.

You will be responsible for selling and promoting all venue conference and banqueting facilities and delivering an exceptional sales experience to customers, to support budgeted revenues. 

The Fulham Pier will become the heart of the community and the standard bearer for indulgent experiences, which will attract both Londoner’s and tourist from all over the world!

We have a remarkable selection of food and drink experiences, ranging from, Pop-up bars and pop-up local cuisine, to elegant fine dining experiences. 

Our entertainment options are as exceptional as our dining experiences, and we cater for all tastes and moods.  We offer local theatre, outdoor gigs, jazz clubs, an art gallery, cooking classes, a comedy club, book launches, film nights and water sports, to name but a few. In addition to this we offer educational activities and crèche and soft play facilities. Whether it’s saluting the sun in the morning with riverfront yoga or toasting the night with a magical cocktail we are building a playground for the senses!

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct pro-active activities such as outbound calling, distribution of promotional material and networking
  • Achieve venue revenue targets by creating and executing the sales strategy for the site and deliver this in a timely manner
  • Proactive management of key accounts and local sales activity to win market share and increase penetration of large customers
  • Manage, support, lead and motivate sales team with continuous growth and development plans and high levels of engagement, morale and motivation
  • Achievement of budgeted C&E/Programming sales objectives and profit targets
  • Maximise revenue and profit through the implementation of a sales activity plan by proactive selling through a sales platform and use of commercial management techniques (Salesforce, Priava and other revenue management tools)
  • Analysis of different market sectors to identify trends and targets
  • Complete accurate forecasts 
  • Ensure all CRM systems are kept up to date and all team members are 100% user compliant.
  • Use Salesforce reports and dashboards to communicate venue revenues, quickly identify any risks and manage team activity

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You will have a track record of successful proactive sales, ideally in a hotel, venue, or other hospitality setting. Strong business sense is needed to increase and optimise sales in a setting where targets are strictly adhered to. You will have the ability to guide and motivate your team and drive sales concepts with initiative. The capacity to cooperate with other departments and influence a variety of stakeholders in order to accomplish group corporate goals is essential.  You will be delivering a sales service to a client with high end expectations!

You will also have:

  • Experience in implementing best practice and innovation in a sales team environment
  • Experience in budget management and measuring sales performance
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word) 
  • A strong knowledge of the local market
  • A good researcher and client focussed approach
  • Excellent communication verbal & written skills
  • Confident presentation ability
  • Excellent business relationship building skills and understanding of customer needs
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver measurable sales targets
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills in order to prioritise various job demands
  • Proven negotiation skills

You will be rewarded with a salary of up to £50,000 plus access to a range of benefits, including a performance-related bonus, employer pension contribution and life assurance – 1 x annual salary.
