Business Development Executive

Sodexo Live! are seeking a passionate and forward-thinking Business Development Executive to join our dynamic team.

You will support the proactive sales team in delivering activity and enquiry pipeline generation for the UK Stadia. You will also identify new sales leads and make introductory appointments for the Business Development Manager and Head of Sales, while maintaining existing client relationships and researching corporate companies, event agents, and individuals to identify new sales leads.

You will also be responsible for attending FAM trips and cultivation events, and helping the team manage these events, as well as developing a strong LinkedIn presence and network. We expect you to continuously seek out new business opportunities and maximize the potential of each lead.

This is a fast-paced and highly collaborative role, and we are looking for a Business Development Executive who can work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction and revenue growth.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Research our competitors and conduct quarterly competitor analysis in order to stay ahead of competition and gain market share
  • Conduct site visits with the senior sales team in order to deepen understanding of the Stadia venues and build on client knowledge 
  • Support HOS in data and content collection for new venue bids
  • Plan and oversee new ways to showcase our services to prospective new clients
  • Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events throughout the UK in order to generate new leads
  • Input all customer data and engagement in Salesforce and maintain an accurate Salesforce pipeline 
  • Conduct pipeline generation days with the onsite sales team and the BDM in order to generate new business opportunities 
  • Take ownership of research projects to target specific industries 
  • Attend client meetings with the HOS and BDM in order develop proactive skills
  • Manage local industry memberships in order to maximize potential and generate new sales leads

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You will be a talented and experienced Business Development Executive with a proven track record in the Events Industry, with a deep understanding of the event market across the UK.. Previous experience in the MICE market is advantageous.

In addition to these skills and experience, you will demonstrate exceptional communication, research, and negotiation abilities. You must also possess a client-focused approach and be able to think strategically while staying organized and resilient in the face of challenges. 

The role is hybrid between working from home and visiting clients so a driving licence is essential.

You will also have:

  • The ability to work under pressure and deliver results in a variety of projects
  • The ability to prioritise and handle multiple tasks 
  • A confident, ambitious and passionate nature with the ability to use own initiative 
  • Good researching and negotiating skills and a strong client focus
  • The Ability to build excellent client relationships 
  • Excellent communication verbal & written skills

WHAT WE OFFER IN RETURN
