Sales Manager - Bateaux London

Job Introduction

We have a fantastic opportunity at BATEAUX LONDON  for an experienced, highly motivated sales manager to join our amazing team!

In this dynamic and challenging role, you will be responsible for driving and maximising the sales potential of the iconic Bateaux London based at Embankment Pier.

To be successful in this position you will have strategic entrepreneurial insight and skills in the early identification of trends and opportunities. You will be pro-active and energetic with a proven track record in achieving sales targets and the ability to execute effectively a focused sales plan for the agreed market segments of local & global B2C and B2B markets.

Present on multiple segments (corporate and individual), geographically diverse, Bateaux has a wide market that you will help to develop. Big part of the role will be re-mobilizing our charter market in order to deliver memorable experience.

We are looking for someone comfortable on multiple key markets, autonomous, self-motivated, ready to execute sales activities, able to generate leads, and close sales. You will be supported by a team consisting of sales exec, event designer and a marketing manager to help in the administrative and sales functions.

Role Responsibility

  • Perform day to day sales activity including lead generation, face to face meetings, contracting & rate negotiation, site inspections, attendance at trade shows, client entertainment
  • Undertake monthly corporate tracking of corporate accounts to monitor production and to identify any decreases and taking necessary action to remedy same.
  • Analyse booking production reports & intelligence information to develop business channels.
  • Produce weekly and monthly reporting on performance and activity including input into forecasting and pricing strategy in line with annual budget.
  • Develop and drive the performance of the sales dept, allocating designated target markets and geographical remit.
  • Take a proactive approach to sales, anticipating potential opportunities and developing new ones, as well as developing strategic plans for growth in the different existing and emerging markets.
  • Conduct a consistent number of proactive sales activities (including business trips, appointments, telephone calls, site inspections, attendance at dedicated trade shows and client entertainment).
  • Create a logical and proactive yearly sales strategy for MICE with concise measurable and clear goals to achieve growth based on agreed financial targets for FIT, groups and charter business.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Extensive pro-active sales experience, ideally in the hospitality industry
  • Independent and self motivated with appetite to sell and business sense
  • Comfortable in networking & cold calling.
  • Creative and resourceful
  • Solid understanding of sales KPIs and deriving insights for wider business reporting and actions
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Great marketplace and customer understanding
  • Industry/market knowledge and expertise
