Job Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales & Events Co-ordinator to join our Sodexo Major Events Team based on-site at Ascot Racecourse. You will be responsible for supporting the events and sales function in this busy varied role and will be required to assist on site at major events during peak season. You will love a challenge and have a highly organised approach to your work; this role is diverse so a good understanding of events will be key to your success.

Role Responsibility

  • Assist the sales team to competently sell hospitality packages for all major events business
  • To assist the major events operational team in the delivery of exceptional catering offers across the portfolio of major events
  • Ensure efficient systems and processes are in place for capturing all customer/client requirements and communication of these reported to the relevant departments
  • To ensure all billing for services pre and post event is completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Support the planning and administration tasks in relation to the operational delivery of each event

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

▪ Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

▪ Experience in the events, food service, catering and/or hospitality industry

▪ Good understanding of budget management and good numeracy skills

▪ Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.

▪ Ability to negotiate, work with flexible schedule and changing priorities is essential

▪ Good administration skills with attention to detail

Desirable

▪ First Aid Certificate

▪ The desire to have a career in Sales or Event Management

▪ IOSH managing safely

 

Package Description

c£25,900 + great benefits

Location: Ascot Racecourse

Permanent

Work Pattern – 40 hrs pw Monday to Friday with flexibility
