Returnable Packaging Supervisor

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a Returnable Packaging Supervisor to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Role Responsibility

  • Manage and deliver effective and efficient services that meet contract obligations, KPI’s and agreed company policies and procedures.
  • To recruit, interview, control and discipline staff according to the needs of the unit and within the procedure laid down by the Company. 
  • To ensure all new staff are given a thorough induction into their job, the unit and the Company.  To monitor the performance of staff, & carry out performance reviews and provide training in relation to operational/ legal / client / requirements and coaching as necessary, and record on the appropriate documents.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with customers, demonstrating a high level of customer service with staff and the client’s employees.
  • To attend & report all faults in relation to Fork Lift Truck Maintenance.
  • To complete all administration, as specified by the Facilities Manager & Client.
  • To liaise with the specified client contact, as directed by the Facilities Manager.
  • To undertake audits in relation to service delivery / offer compliance, as requested

The Ideal Candidate

Knowledge, skills and experience

 

Essential

  • A valid FLT Counter Balance Licence.               
  • Good standard of literacy and numeracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients, and staff at all levels.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to adapt & influence change.
  • Ability to achieve and set standards and operate to performance criteria, with particular regard to hygiene
  • Positive approach to learning in role and identifying own training needs as appropriate
  • Self-motivated
  • Sense of own initiative
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Flexible approach to role

     

    Desirable

  • Previous experience of management/supervision role.
  • Experience of managing a team in a logistic establishment.
  • Experience of managing budgets.
  • Experience of delivering training using company guidelines
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to develop increasing individual effectiveness through leadership, motivation, communication, coaching and training
