Relief Support Chef Manager

Job Introduction

We have an exciting new role that has become available at Sodexo as a Relief Support Chef Manager. As the Relief Support Chef Manager, you will work alongside a range of managers, chefs and catering teams within the Government school business to ensure that they are able to perform to the required capability level and can meet and maintain (at all times) company standards, compliance and policies in all areas of food, health, safety and quality. The support that you will provide will be across 19 different schools and these schools range from Enfield through to Horsham in Surrey.

A company car will be provided, therefore you must have a clean driving licence.

Working hours are between 7am and 3:30pm, 42 weeks per year.

This role is subject to Safer Recruitment checks and the successful applicant will be required to complete a DBS.

Role Responsibility

  • In a relief management capacity, cover the day to day operations of any unit within London & the South East Area.  
  • Organise holiday and sickness cover, and where necessary to cover in a relief management capacity 
  • Work with the Account Manager South to ensure that all sites are complying with company standards in relation to food standards and offer implementation (ie, ROL, Marketing, Purchasing compliance) 
  • Support the Account Manager and wider team as the day to day representatives of Sodexo 
  • Provide direction and expertise to the assigned business areas by promoting Sodexo strategies, values and behaviours

The Ideal Candidate

  • High standards of food production and service delivery  
  • Experience in managing multi-site business 
  • Experience of recruiting, inducting and developing teams and managing within a set framework 
  • Ability to communicate at all levels in an appropriate manner

  • Excel skills

Up to £26,500 depending on experience + company car
