Ration Accountant
Job Introduction
- Demand, Receive and store all food commodities required by the catering service.
- Maintain Authority accounts as required by JSP 456.
- Maintain Sodexo accounts as required by company policy.
- Maintain sufficient food stocks to meet production requirements.
Role Responsibility
- Demand, receive and store commodities required to by the Catering Manager, Head Chef etc.
- Operate EProphIT and manual accounting systems in accordance with Authority and Sodexo policies.
- To centrally maintain all ration accounts and associated documentation in accordance with current Authority regulations and Sodexo policy.
- To process invoices, priced and un-priced
- To operate Sodexo demand, stock and accounting systems.
- To procure supplies from nominated/authorised suppliers.
- To store supplies in accordance with Food Hygiene regulations.
- To issue supplies to all authorised locations.
- To notify account holders on a regular basis of the account balances, credit/debit.
The Ideal Candidate
Essential:
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Experience in using IT Microsoft “Office” applications.
- Good communication skills – written and verbal.
- The ability to demonstrate great team work.
Desirable:
- Accounting software packages would be advantageous.
Package Description
- Joining bonus of £750 after first 3 months – this is through company reward voucher scheme.
- Working roster Mon- Fri
- Position working within a small team with flexible approach to rostering
- Requirement to service functions which attract overtime rate opportunities
- Ability for the majority to take holiday through school holiday periods (Including Christmas)
