What do we offer?

Salary £35,427.19 per annum.
£26,732.95 Base Salary per annum (rising to £27,453.32 after 1 year) plus £3,729.24 London Weighting per annum and £4,965 Market Force allowance annually.

What you will do?

HMP/YOI Bronzefield is a female prison and as such there are specific duties that can only be conducted by a female officer, such as searching, escorting and personal care of prisoners.  

- Work within a team of Prison Custody Officers as a collaborative unit.
- Supervise prisoners at mealtimes and manage regular routines (locking and unlocking, recreation time).
- Oversee movement around the prison such as for visiting hours, education, and work placements.
 - Play a key part in prisoners rehabilitation journey, or offer support during their time in prison.

· Able to move forward and start fresh after a challenging situation (includes full training prior to starting).



 

Recruitment process: 

  • Full completion of application form on Sodexo careers website
  • Assessment Centre Interview: W/C 26th Feb/4th March
  • Start Date of course: May 2024

Assessment Centre Interview: 
The assessment Centre will be 1 full day and will assess candidates against a number of different role criteria. Full details will be sent once selected.

Training course:

Access to ongoing training and development programs, with specific support from a dedicated learner coach for the first 12 months of your employment.

You will be required to complete a mandatory 8 - week training course. No annual leave can be taken during this period. The training will be Monday to Friday. Including 1 weekend and 1 night shift.

This role is subject to security and recruitment checks which may include a Social Media Check. You will also be asked to provide 3 years’ worth of references and request employment history details from the HMRC.
Post holders will be subjected to an advanced DBS check, a prison security check (level 2) prior to being employed.
