Payroll and Finance Administrator
Job Introduction
As a Payroll and Finance administrator at Merville barracks. You'll provide efficient accountancy administration to support the site, from Payroll and month end functions, to invoicing and billing. What you’ll do:
- To maintain the payroll system, ensuring all variations and amendments are entered on a weekly basis.
- Manage accurate processing of all new starters, leaver, and contractual changes to conditions.
- Liaise with Sodexo Service Managers to review/rectify anomalies evident in the weekly Kronos TCC reports. Managing as a Kronos Champion any required Kronos amendments after Service Managers have authorised/signed off Timecards on Kronos.
- Maintenance of Kronos user access reports for the contract, supporting new user requests and any access closures required due to leavers or movement across the business.
- Kronos annual leave accrual reconciliation and issuing accrual updates to the RightTime technical team, detailed focus annually in April each year.
- Managing employee queries in relation to annual leave taken and accruals held in Kronos.
- Weekly extraction report from Kronos time management system, to be uploaded into UDC Payroll.
- Operate within defined UDC Payroll cut-off timelines, working within the business issued deadlines monthly.
- UDC Monthly Payroll reconciliation for Sodexo frontline employees.
- Prepare monthly overtime accrual back up report to CFM to support monthly overtime accruals for both Soft FM and Hard FM contracts.
- Monthly Payroll Gross Pay reports produced and issued to all budget holders.
- Maintain LTS records whilst ensuring company policy compliance.
- To deal with individuals pay queries, and where possible resolve issues.
- To always exercise discretion with regards to personal financial situations and confidentiality of all accounts. To deal with all aspects of the job with professionalism and to advise the CFM of any financial discrepancies.
- Operating within Sodexo policy regards to GDPR.
What you bring:
- Excellent team ethos and superb inter-communication skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and remain calm under pressure
- Its desirable, but an Level 2 or 3 AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification would be great!
- Previous experience in a similar role is needed, ideally Finance admin, Book keeper or have experience in the above within another role then we would love to hear from you
- Desire to grow and progress your career if you are interested
- A want for progression into a higher financial related role
