Operations Manager - Facilities Management

Job Introduction

We are currently looking to recruit an excellent and experienced Operations Manager to join a key client of ours in our corporate services segment. If you are an established Facilities Management Operations Manager with a corporate HQ background and strong Soft services bias, we want to hear from you!

This fantastic opportunity would suit an experienced Facilities Management professional with a good feel for high standards service and exceptional customer experience in a corporate HQ setting. The location will be based across multiple sites in Cambridge.

Role Responsibility

• Management of the full IFM operations to ensure effective and efficient service delivery
• To manage delivery through services teams whilst promoting an ethos of teamwork
• To be proactive in delivering operational excellence that will drive client confidence
• Control and monitor of full financial activities undertaken to maximise the profit ability of the contract and manage costs effectively.
• To own the end-to-end customer experience of the site users
• Ensure that the sites are statutory, mandatory and contractually compliant, including site specific health and safety and welfare policies
• Monitor, review and effectively manage the team in delivering to the specification requirements
• Build and nurture positive client relationships, to become the first point of contact within the client space.
• To actively manage within the AZ South portfolio, providing support and guidance to the site leads, ensuring a high level of services provided to the client
• Be a representative of the senior leadership within the operational arena and take ownership of the operation to ensure full accountability to key stakeholders.
• To have a full working knowledge of the building including all services and responsible for all service delivery in the absence of the Operations Manager.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experienced in using Microsoft Office
• Previous experience in a commercial facilities environment
• Ability to interpret and utilise financial and commercial information
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients, and employees at all levels
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• People management experience
• Manage multiple workloads and shifting priorities
• Achieve, set standards and operate to performance criteria, for example health and safety
• Positive approach to learning in role and identifying own training needs as appropriate
• Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative, work effectively as part of a team
• Proven experience of managing a diverse workforce within a service environment
• Managing Safely qualification or training equivalent to IOSH

Package Description

£40,000pa - £44,000pa + excellent bonus & benefits

Location: AstraZeneca, Cambridge CB2

Permanent

Work Pattern – 40 hrs pw Monday to Friday with flexibility required depending on business needs
