Operational Support Manager

Sodexo are looking to recruit an innovative, ambitious, and inspiring Operational Support Manager who will provide operational support to our site lead and heads of departments with a focus on catering service at this prestigious high-profile, blue-chip client HQ in London. This site represents an integrated facilities management model with a provision of soft and hard services including fine dining and guest services to 5* standards.

In this role you will assist, support and action decisions from our Workplace Manager in London and accept responsibility in the Workplace Manager’s absence. Your priority will be to provide operational and admin support and service excellence to all Head of Departments, delivering exceptional client experience.

We are looking for someone who is passionate customer focused professional with outstanding communication and target driven mind. To be successful you will have consistent relevant experience in overseeing workplace services; a Soft FM background would be ideal together with experience of working in a dynamic and demanding corporate environment.

 

Role Responsibility

  • Support Workplace Manager in achieving and maintaining the highest client satisfaction scores measured via contractual KPI model
  • Provide daily operational support and service excellence to all Head of Departments to deliver flagship services to internal and external clients and stakeholders
  • Drive all aspects of service excellence across the business area including brand integrity, quality, compliance, continuous improvement of people, systems and processes, Sodexo’s corporate social responsibility and service standards
  • Carry out regular contract performance revisions, workplace inspections and internal compliance audits and checks to support Sodexo compliance and client requirements
  • To act as Engagement Champion to drive employee engagement and promote Sodexo and client culture
  • ‘Lead by example’ in all areas and activities, demonstrating business integrity, Sodexo values and promoting brand standards as an ambassador
  • Foster long term profitable relationships with client that add value and are based on mutual trust and partnership model
  • Assist the Workplace Manager in the contract delivery including commercial and legal terms and conditions of the contract and deliver to the SLA(s) and standards required
  • Work in partnership with central account team and collaborate with service operations and transversal functions and subject matter experts to deliver value adding services to the Client Organisation, contributing to the business development pipeline and increasing revenue growth of the contract through integration, innovation and efficiencies within the full Sodexo portfolio
  • Managing multiple priorities concurrently

The Ideal Candidate

  • Highly professional, proactive, and driven FM manager (preferably with Soft FM background)
  • Track record in meeting business demands and client expectations in a high class, corporate environment
  • A great level of operational, admin and support experience
  • Excellent standards of literacy and numeracy with sound financial acumen
  • Competent IT skills including MS office
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients, and teams at all levels in a direct, diplomatic and professional manner
  • Strong organisational and planning skills with ability to react to suit operational support requirements, must be able to organise time effectively and prioritise tasks to cope with fluctuating workloads
  • Approach problems analytically, develop opportunities and implement innovative solutions
  • Experience of managing conflicting expectations of the client and consumer within one business area
  • Management knowledge of Health & Safety and Food safety with experience of delivering training

Desirable

  • Basic food hygiene certificate
  • IOSH managing safety qualification or equivalent
  • FM qualification
