Onsite Audio Visual Event Technician
Role Responsibility
- Maintain associated AV hardware, liaising with approved partners where necessary. To include the management of auditorium facility, client presentation, training and internal team facilities
- Support the internal audio visual distribution services, including live broadcasted events
- Provide colleague support and guidance to ensure meetings are successfully achieved, with specific attention on high profile meetings where dedicated executive support may be expected
- Assist in the coordination of AV hardware upgrades when necessary
- 2nd Line AV support for 87 conference rooms and executive offices
- Perform monthly room checks
- Assist with the evaluation and testing of new AV related hardware and services

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE
- Experience in an AV Support role including the support to large auditorium style events
- Strong Knowledge in the following technology
- Analogue/Digital Video
- Analogue/Digital Audio
- Control systems (Crestron, Extron, AMX)
- Audio Processors (ClearOne)
- Signal switching and mixing o Operation of sound desks & vision mixers
- Projection
- Ability to read and understand AV Schematics
- Basic understanding of electrical/mechanical engineering
- Basic understanding of IP, ADSL, ISDN and PSTN networks
- Cisco / Tandberg VC codecs
- Microsoft Lync/Skype for Business
- OSX, Windows 7 and Office 2010 or above
- Good knowledge of Adobe creative suite
- Proven technical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Able to carry out basic hot works (soldering)
Minimum 2-3 years experience. Preferably in a corporate environment

Internal:
As priority, strong relationships are required with the client’s Executive and their supporting teams, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceed.
Key relationships are required across the category divisions to ensure that a consistent approach to support is achieved. Close relationships are necessary with the local IT support team to provide assistance and direction when necessary.
It is also important to forge strong relationships with other operational support teams, specifically the Workplace Services teams, to assist with the escalation and resolution of incidents etc.
External:
It is vital that a good relationship is maintained with all approved external vendors, including suppliers, maintenance providers. This will be formed of ad-hoc interactions when reacting to requests or incidents.
Package Description
The Onsite Audio Visual Event Technician is primarily responsible for the support of audio and visual technologies and services within our client’s global head office in London and a 2nd satellite office, which includes the event support in the auditorium and other client presentation facilities, conference rooms, executive offices and audio visual distribution services.
Working within the Workplace Services team, the position reports directly to the Audio Visual Services Manager. The Onsite Audio Visual Event Technician maintains responsibility for the daily operations of AV services within the client’s premises, utilising current procedures, whilst adhering to change management controls and escalating technical issues for input and guidance as required.
