Nursery Nurse (Level 3 / Baby Room experience)

An opportunity to showcase your Baby Room experience, you will work within the Nursery team in providing high quality care and education for all children, providing a stimulating and safe environment for all who work or attend the setting and work in partnership with others.

Role Responsibility

  • Work within the nursery team to provide a friendly, caring, relaxing and secure environment in order to encourage and develop children in our care.
  • Ensure all daily routines are followed but allowing flexibility for individual children’s needs and unforeseen circumstances.
  • Observe, plan and implement activities for key children and group activities too. Incorporating festivals, cultures and events.
  • Carry out daily jobs required, set up activities in nursery and tidy away.
  • Act as Key Person to a set of children which will include settling them in, Nursery inductions, 8 week reviews, working with parents and any relevant professionals also working with the child and the mother.
  • Maintain children’s Learning Journey’s and records, carrying out any reports needed for Safeguarding purposes or Special Needs.
  • Carry out unit tasks required such as restocks, toy lending library and offering support and parenting advice such as how to sterilise and bathing.
  • Respect confidentiality within the setting

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and Statutory Welfare requirements
  • Level 3 Qualification in Child Care and Education or higher
  • Baby Room experience

Desirable

  • Understanding of and commitment to the implementation of equal opportunities.
  • Have completed relevant training such as first aid and safeguarding children.
  • Have an understanding of working with women and babies with complex needs

 

 

 

Package Description
