Job Title: National Trainer
Region: National/Hybrid Role (Base - Local branch)
Salary: £38,000pa
Hours: Monday - Friday with some weekend and evening work (flexibility required)

ROLE PURPOSE

Prestige Nursing & Care is in the process of developing new business and training opportunities across the business with a focus on elevating quality, safety, and care & clinical outcomes for our clients.

We have a key role in supporting the operational and recruitment teams with the recruitment and retention of colleagues by ensuring they are well equipped and supported to undertake the various responsibilities within their roles.

The role of National Trainer is to support the Care & Clinical Training Lead with developing these opportunities and delivering training to our Care & Clinical operational teams in line with legislative requirements, particularly in country regulations (England & Scotland).  You will also promote Prestige Nursing & Care by ensuring that business objectives are met.

While this role works across all care and clinical roles, there will be a particular emphasis with working with Branch teams to ensure their regulatory, legislative, care & clinical competencies are achieved and maintained.

The success of this role will be measured by:

  • Successful delivery and evaluation of training courses to our frontline carers and branch teams
  • 100% Submission of training records to branch, Quality Department, and Central Recruitment Team
  • Ensuring the candidate journey is positive and all new recruits are trained to an excellent standard.
  • Business KPI’s met.

The role requires a pro-active response to building key relationships.  An eye for detail is essential as is knowledge of the latest legislation, clinical evidence, training techniques and developments. The role is a national role and may require some travel to other branches and venues.  It will also require a flexible approach to working outside of normal working hours when required.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing training modules to meet specific care and business needs.
  • Delivery of the following training courses to Branch team colleagues in line with Company policy and legal requirements and any other modules as required:
    • Medicine Management – Branch team level
    • Complex Personalised Care Planning & Risk Assessments
    • Enhanced and Complex care specific training as required.
    • Management of Safeguarding
  • Delivery of the following training courses to all care and clinical training colleagues in line with Company policy and legal requirements:
    • Moving and Assisting
    • Basic Life Support & First Aid
    • Administration of Medication
    • Personal, Essential & Enhanced Care
    • Safeguarding Adults & Children
    • Personalised Care Plans and Risk Assessment Training
    • Mental Capacity Act
  • Evaluation of training courses delivered and redesigning where required.
  • Supporting with E-learning Training such as: Dignity of Care, Care of the Dying
  • Supporting with updating E-learning contents to ensure it is evidence-based and within regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting with ad hoc training needs within the business
  • Be part of developing additional training courses to meet the business needs.
  • Identify trends to predict future requirements.
  • Maintain agreed schedules within agreed targets.
  • Sending a copy of the Training Register to the Care & Clinical Training Co-ordinator for record keeping
  • Providing feedback to the Care & Clinical Training Lead & Co-ordinator on course progress and member engagement
  • Drive improved satisfaction levels.
  • Ensuring all new members are successfully engaged.
  • Maintain effective relationships with branch colleagues.
  • Contribute to the successful Branch retention strategy.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports as and when required.

KEY ATTRIBUTES/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Excellent training delivery skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with Branch Teams, Clinical Team, Central functions, and the Care & Clinical Training Team
  • Work within agreed timescales
  • Any other task your line manager requires of you.
  • Professional in behaviour, manner, and appearance
  • An award in education and teaching (AET) or equivalent, or relevant experience of 2 or more years in a training would be desirable.
  • Experience of delivering training in the care industry
  • Self-motivated
  • Computer literate
  • A passion for managing and driving excellence.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Ability to manage change.
  • An understanding of cognitive learning styles
