We’re looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Multiskilled Engineer to join our team at HMRC Glasgow.
Reporting to the Hard FM Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of Hard FM services across the regional cluster. You’ll manage contractors, suppliers, and planned/reactive maintenance through our digital systems to keep facilities running safely and efficiently.
This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys problem-solving, teamwork, and taking pride in maintaining high standards of compliance and service delivery.
What You’ll Do:
Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on a variety of M&E and building fabric systems, including heating, pumps, air handling units, BMS, lighting, and control panels.
Work closely with subcontractors to complete statutory inspections and maintenance.
Ensure all work meets compliance standards and supports our Zero Harm safety culture.
Identify and resolve faults promptly and professionally.
Maintain accurate records using Global Maximo and other CAFM systems.
Support supervisors with compliance reporting, risks, and improvement initiatives.
Assist with billable works, small projects, and emergency response when required.
Participate in on-call and out-of-hours rotas as needed.
What You’ll Bring:
Essential:
HND/NVQ (or equivalent) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services.
IOSH Passport or valid CSCS Card.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in building services and plant engineering.
Physically fit and active with a good health record.
Fluent written and spoken English.
Full, clean UK driving licence.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CAFM/CMMS systems.
Desirable:
Property maintenance experience.
Knowledge of EZMax or Maximo systems.
Experience managing subcontractors.
Previous appointment as AP/CP (Electrical, Boilers/Pressure Systems, Working at Heights, Confined Spaces).
