Marketing Director (Healthcare)

Job Introduction

Are you an experienced Marketing professional? Do you have experience in the Healthcare market? If so, Sodexo want to hear from you. We are the worldwide leaders in Quality of Life services and we are currently looking to recruit a Marketing Director to be responsible for adapting offers to the characteristics of regional clients & consumers – providing input into the strategic plan for the Healthcare segment.

You will assist the Managing Director in the identification and analysis of new opportunities in the health & social care markets in the UK&I, working on market entry strategies associated with agreed opportunities, and work up methodologies for monetising.

This role will include: defining service needs, managing geographical expectations, contributing to strategic planning, industry research, educating on clients and customer needs, offer and product development and solution design - in addition to team management and setting expectations.

Role Responsibility

  • Support the Managing Director and the Exec Team in the formulation of the segment strategy, and plans relating to the execution thereof
  • Developing and delivering robust methodologies for the identification, analysis, and prioritisation of new market opportunities in both health and social care markets
  • Managing and ownership of the product/service development process, using such internal and external resource as may be appropriate
  • Engage with other segments and functions as necessary to ensure that all interested parties are engaged in the development process and understand their respective roles
  • Identification and evaluation of market entry opportunities – partnerships, acquisitions, start-up etc.
  • Ensure that the business maintains a focus on product/service development
  • Work with the Sales and Product Management Teams to ensure successful launch of any new products
  • Assist the wider promotion of Sodexo in Health and Social care markets
  • Work with clients to understand their requirements in relation to new outsourcing potential, to design appropriate services, and recommend methodologies for execution.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Relevant marketing qualification and / or experience
  • Proven track record of success in senior marketing roles
  • Delivering the marketing activities to the strategy = outcomes
  • Background in the health sector, ideally covering both private and public sectors
  • Strong commercial acumen – demonstrable experience of executing great ideas
  • Demonstrable evidence of being able to deliver innovation in the health sector
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills for managing senior level relationships
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel, prioritising as appropriate
  • Confident, ambitious and energetic with a persuasive manner and the ability to use your initiative.
