Are you an innovative and passionate Sous Chef looking to make your mark in a dynamic food environment? At Riverside Market, located at Fulham Pier, we are seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to support our Head Chef in delivering exceptional market inspired culinary experiences. In this role, you will have the opportunity to showcase your knowledge of current food trends while contributing to the creation of exciting, market based food offerings. Your expertise will ensure the timely and efficient preparation and service of high-quality dishes, all while focusing on non traditional dining experiences that delight our guests. If you’re ready to play a pivotal role in enhancing our legacy stands and be part of a thriving culinary community, we want to hear from you!

What You'll Do:

  • Ensure customer feedback consistently scores food as excellent.
  • Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
  • Train and develop the team, with a focus on food safety and customer service.
  • Ensure market stall food offerings are costed and margins clearly delivered.
  • Ensure labour and food costs remain within agreed parameters.
  • Participate in special events, pop ups, and seasonal food promotions.
  • ⁠Consistently deliver high quality, innovative food offers at the Riverside Market.
  • Lead menu design processes, focusing on market trends and local ingredients.
  • Collaborate with the Market Manager to enhance customer experiences.
  • Support sustainable practices, including waste reduction and recycling initiatives.
  • Lead and manage a team of market based food staff, ensuring efficient service delivery.

What You Bring:

  • Production kitchen knowledge and/or experience
  • Experience of working with clients in a contract catering environment
  • Staff training experience or qualification
  • Culinary experience within stadia environment
  • Experience: Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Head Chef in a market or retail environment.
  • ⁠Skills: Strong culinary knowledge, experience in food stalls or market operations, staff training, and management skills.
  • Supervising Food Safely Level 3 Qualification
  • IOSH Managing Safely or Similar Qualification
