As a Part-time Chef at Sodexo inPriory Hospital Roehampton, Priory Lane, London SW15 5JJ, you’ll play a vital role in preparing high-quality meals that support patient wellbeing and enhance the overall dining experience. You’ll be responsible for managing your own section of the kitchen, ensuring every dish meets our high standards. What you’ll do:
Full working knowledge of areas within the hospital covered by Patient Dining & Retail Services.
Accountable for Allergy Management and food preparation.
Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
Maintain and deliver quality meals according to set recipes and menus.
Responsible for compliance with food and Health & Safety (H&S) legislation; take necessary actions within area of responsibility.
Ensure health and safety standards are understood and delivered across the site.
Manage Health and Safety in accordance with legislation, company, and client standards, policies, and procedures.
Ensure safe working practices at all times and report any non-compliance to management.
Ensure all mandatory staff training is completed and training plans are followed.
Job description is not exhaustive and may be amended based on the changing needs of the service.
What you bring:
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) and at least 2 years’ experience as a chef
- Strong culinary skills and a genuine passion for cooking
- Ability to perform well under pressure in a busy kitchen
- Clear, respectful communication and a strong team spirit
