Management Accountant

Job Introduction

If you are looking for a role to really make your own, we think there’s nowhere better than joining a business which is best in class and where you will get an opportunity to make a real impact.  We are looking for a Management Accountant to join our small team of seven in London.  You will have the opportunity to get involved with all areas of the business at Oxford Aunts and The Good Care Group, as well as assisting in the set-up and launch of our new hourly care service; The Good Care Group at Riverstone. 

It is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and is looking to develop.   You will need a solid accounting background – perhaps you have just passed your AAT exams or perhaps you are part-qualified ACCA or CIMA accountant.  Either way, you would be a welcome addition to our team.

Role Responsibility

  • Month end completion
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Lead on Analysis of accounts supporting the Head of Finance and Financial Director
  • Transactions Accurately Posted to the Ledgers
  • VAT is properly accounted for
  • Bank and credit card transactions are approved and reconciled
  • Reports are produced and distributed on a timely basis

The Ideal Candidate

 

About you:

Systems skills are a prerequisite.  You will know your way around an Excel spreadsheet and be comfortable using extensive formulas to analyse data.  You will have worked with a variety of systems and will be keen to get involved in various systems and process improvement projects we have planned.

  • Commercially aware
  • Confident and driven team player
  • Analytical mind, strong attention to detail, accuracy and problem solving
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong Excel and general IT skills
  • Positive “can do” attitude
  • An appetite to develop and improve systems and processes
  • Work well under pressure with tight deadlines and maintain a good sense of humour
  • Able to empathise with our professional carers and resolve their queries
  • 3+ years of experience (AAT or part-qualified ACCA or CIMA)

Desirable:

  • Health and social care sector knowledge

This role is London office based (Whitechapel) with some opportunity for home working
