Are you a skilled Maintenance Plumber looking for a rewarding and dynamic role? We’re seeking a dedicated professional to provide expert installation, testing, examination, and maintenance within a challenging yet supportive environment. As part of our Facilities Management team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth operations and supporting allied trades across the prison.
What You’ll Do:
Deliver installation, repair, and maintenance services to gas, hot, and cold water systems in line with industry standards and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate, detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities.
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and identify any substandard or defective equipment.
Collaborate with specialist contractors, escorting and assisting them as required.
Uphold the highest standards of health and safety and comply with all Sodexo policies and procedures.
Respond promptly to out-of-hours call-outs as part of an on-call rota system.
Support the overall effective operation of the prison by adhering to professional and security protocols.
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a qualified plumber, with relevant trade qualifications or apprenticeship completed.
Valid Gas Safe certification and up-to-date training records.
Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental protection regulations.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team, managing tasks efficiently and to deadline.
Proactive, systematic approach to maintenance duties with excellent personal and communication skills.
Experience working with bulk catering equipment is a bonus.
