Maintenance Fitter

Job Introduction

As Mechanical Fitter at Sodexo in Wythenshawe Hospital, you are also a problem solver, and safety promoter. We will rely on your expert knowledge and technical skills to identify repair and/or replacement needs. You will also oversee installing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading systems and equipment. What you’ll do: 

•  Install, maintain, and repair as required
• Conduct fault finding diagnostics on various mechanical (HVAC, , Medical Gas, BMS) and repairs.
• Assist with electrical, plumbing and building energy management systems in a healthcare environment. 
•  Respond to hot and cold calls, then troubleshoot and resolve issues   
• Assist other skilled trades, plus ensure that tools and materials are available at job site   
• Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures   

What you bring: 

• NVQ 3 or equivalent experience working with either HVAC, Heating, Medical Gas or BMS
• Appropriate license/certification for the specific work to be done in the city and state in which the work will be done  
• Ability to communicate with co-workers and other departments with professionalism and respect   
• Basic phone and computer skills (email, texting, etc.)  
• Good attention to detail and excellent oral and written communication skills   
• Excellent management and organizational skills
