Mailroom Operative
Job Introduction

Role Responsibility
As a Mailroom Operative you will be responsible for:
- Mail, sorting and distributing and franking and dispatching of all outgoing mail plus other mailroom duties
- Booking deliveries and make ready for internal distribution and delivery
- Assisting and support Loading Bay duties
- Assisting and processing Client Courier packages utilizing various vendor dispatch systems ensuring goods are sent to the Clients requirements
- Providing support to the Reprographic section
- Accurately complete daily paperwork
- Ensuring that total Quality Management controls are maintained throughout the various aspects of the operation
- Demonstrating pride & professionalism in all facets of customer service. To take ownership of all work
- Communicating with clients professionally at all times, by understanding their needs, promoting our service
- Supporting the Client to introduce service enhancements & developments.
- Co-operating with both immediate and wider range of colleagues to the betterment of the site customer, and Sodexo
- Contributing & maintain a positive team spirit
- Maintaining a safe working process related to Health & Safety COSHH regulations
- Undertaking any reasonable ad hoc duties as requested by Line Manager
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate for this role will have:
- Mailroom experience with excellent Royal Mail knowledge
- Have experience of working in a busy, demanding and pressurized environment
- Knowledge of computerised courier booking systems and good use of IT skills
- Excellent time management skills and have a methodical approach
- Good eye for detail
- A customer focused approach, exhibiting a reliable and responsible attitude
- Ability to work on own initiative and have a good work ethic
- Understand, assess and manage risk, and have the ability to plan, organize, and prioritise workload to meet customer demand
- Be able to work on own initiative, be efficient, flexible, reliable and keen to develop skills and experience
- Be an excellent communicator at all levels and enjoy working as part of a team
