Job Introduction
HMP Lowdham Grange are recruiting for two Interventional Facilitators to join our team. In this role you will deliver a range of programmes and interventions to prisoners, to support with the reduction of reoffending. As a proficient collaborator and organiser you will prepare for each group and/or individual session, ensuring you have adequate resources, a full understanding of the material and appropriate format of delivery. You will play a key role in supporting a prisoners progress using motivational interviewing techniques to support with the reduction of violence and overall aim of reducing reoffending. Acting as a role model you will deliver Interventions Services in a way that complements Sodexo’s values, acting in a pro-active and pro-social manner and responding to the needs of the prison as a team.

Main Responsibilities
- Working in a multi-disciplinary and collaborative way with the Psychology and Interventions team, Prisoners and the wider Prison.
- To deliver Offending Behaviour Programme’s (OBP’s) to prisoners to support lifestyle changes and reduce reoffending.
- To provide factual reports / information in order to support prisoner’s progress.
- To demonstrate a good understanding of the programme content, integrity, and rationale.
- To conduct one to one sessions with prisoners using motivational interviewing techniques to support with the reduction of violence and overall aim of reducing reoffending.
- To act in a pro-active and pro-social manner and respond responsively to the needs of the prison as a team.
- To support the team in delivering and promoting Restorative Approaches throughout the establishment.

The Ideal Candidate
- A good level of numeracy and literacy.
- To have good communication skills both oral and written.
- Good interpersonal skills and an empathic approach.
- Good planning, time management and organisational skills.
- To have a keen interest in reducing reoffending, risk of harm and the rehabilitation of prisoners.
