As the Head Chef, you will lead a 5-day per week day school catering contract at LVS Oxford. What you’ll do:
- Manage a 5-day per week day school catering contract, ensuring prompt, efficient, and innovative service to meet company standards and client satisfaction.
- Prepare food with meticulous attention to special dietary requirements, such as nut, dairy, or wheat allergies, maintaining allergen records and conducting pre-service briefings.
- Maintain high cleanliness and hygiene standards, complying with legal and company regulations, and ensuring clean and tidy work areas at the end of each shift.
- Apply the segments' Fresh Food From Scratch principles across all areas of the business.
- Oversee stock management, including ordering, rotation, storage, labeling, and stock counts, while monitoring food production and waste.
- Lead and motivate the kitchen team, ensuring a smooth service that meets both client and company standards.
- Collaborate with management on menu planning, rotas, orders, theme days, and promotions
What you bring:
- 2-3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a similar role.
- Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills, recognizing and valuing the contributions of others.
- Previous experience in a similar culinary leadership position.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and displays sustained passion and drive.
- Relevant vocational qualifications such as NVQ and food hygiene certifications.
- Positive mindset, focusing on solutions and possibilities.
- Responsible and conscientious, understanding the impact of actions.
