HR Director - Energy & Resources (UK&I, Netherlands, & Nordics),
Job Introduction

We are actively recruiting for an HR Director for our Energy & Resources segment (UK&I, Netherlands, & Nordics) to lead the HR team across our UK&I Energy and Resources business. You will be a key member of the segment leadership team and ensure that the HR function drives the region’s business goals.
The role will ideally be based in Aberdeen, but other locations in the UK, Netherlands, or Nordics could be considered with significant presence in Aberdeen.
Role Responsibility
- Develop the HR strategy for the business aligned to the strategic needs, operational and growth plans of the ENR business and the global HR E&R Strategy.
- Lead the employee relations support from a strategic level and in critical and high priority areas manage this process directly and drive cultural change into the operations teams to own performance management within the framework of the law and Sodexo policy;
- Work with the operations leaders, the HR Services and other HR leads when formulating strategy to impact labour relations strategy for ENR
- Contribute and lead the process – with the segment leadership – of talent management & succession planning for the defined population of top segment leaders, managers and employees to ensure our people grow through well managed career plans
- Manage projects relating to segment employee engagement, recognition, organization design, transformation and roll out of new initiatives from Group in collaboration with HR Services for deployment;
- Support the development of our business goals by leveraging D&I and implementing the E&R strategic actions via influence with the HR and region based team.
- Build collaborative and supportive relationships with business leaders in the E&R segment & beyond to ensure we can efficiently and effectively deliver on the business strategy, targets and value proposition
- Monitor the Performance of established Health, Safety and Environment, Corporate Social Responsibility metrics. Work with and challenge Occupational Health and Absence Management partners to ensure high quality support;
- Support change leadership, programs and initiatives within the segment and influence and support stakeholders to drive the necessary transformation of our business;
- Lead the HR Segment team in creating an environment that enables a high-performance culture that is efficient and delivers best value to the group through appropriate organizational design placing the right people in the right roles;
- Recommend, tailor, develop & train your team on policies and procedures in collaboration with HR Services in the region and the Global E&R HR Director
- Manage, optimize and control the segment HR function budget as per targets;
- Ensure Group values, philosophy, fundamentals and behaviours are known, understood and cascaded within the segment.
The Ideal Candidate
- Wealth of HR experience at a senior level
- Experience in Oil and Gas /Energy industry and exposure to the food and facilities management industry is an advantage
- Strategic thinker, highly self-driven, autonomous, hands on (close to operations), service-oriented and able to have a big picture view
- Team player with excellent communication, influencing and leadership skills
- Highly motivated with a commitment to sharing best practices. Possesses the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement systems, policies and procedures aligned with those of the Region
- A high level of computer literacy
