HR Business Partner

Job Introduction

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Business Partner to lead the HR workstream of our latest exciting project for a minimum of 6 months (with a possibility of the position leading to permanent employment).  

Working closely with central HR teams you will ensure that the project is prioritised and kept on track.  You will partner with business leaders & the HR team to drive and deliver the HR purpose of the project. It will be your responsibility to provide end to end project management of several key initiatives, bringing each initiative to a successful conclusion within budget, timescales, and acceptable risk. 

You will also have the opportunity to work closely with the Sodexo Live! HR team on other central projects.

 

Role Responsibility

You will:

  • Lead the people transition element of the project by providing HR knowledge and due diligence.
  • Work with the Senior HRBP and central HR Advisory teams to ensure the effective implementation of the project. 
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and SME’s in different parts of the organisation.
  • Work closely with the L&D business partner to create a change management programme for the project.
  • Work to defined project governance processes including the development of a robust project plan, reporting and document control.
  • Identifying synergies, best practice and other opportunities to improve.
  • Contributing to the achievement of the segment’s strategic objectives, priorities and HR strategy and implementing HR strategic priorities, ensuring the needs of the segment are met by HR.
  • To support staffing teams and be present at major events (namely but not limited to Royal Ascot, Henley Regatta, One off events, concerts, high profile football games).
  • Provide local ad hoc support on complex ER matters and develop appropriate solutions. Build strong working relationships with People Centre, regularly updating on segment activity to ensure a joined-up HR service is delivered to the business.

The Ideal Candidate

You will be educated to degree level, CIPD qualified or qualified by experience and have experience of managing and supporting a large volume casual workforce. You will have experience of providing advice and guidance to staffing teams and site managers in relation to any worker issues raised in the business area.

Extensive HR generalist experience and detailed understanding of all aspects of HR Management including reward, payroll, resourcing, talent management/succession planning, change management and employee relations is essential.  You must be willing to travel and accept that you will be unable  to take holidays during peak events season (May, June, July) unless advance authorisation received for exceptional circumstances. There will also be a requirement to support major events, sometimes working weekends and evenings.  Experience of working in the hospitality industry is essential.
