Global HSE Programme Manager

Job Introduction

Our Global HSE Team have a fantastic opportunity for a Global Health, Safety and Environment Project Manager

You be successful in this role, you'll provide a central PM support to the HSE Professional Family and to all the PMs appointed in the regions, countries and segments. You'll be accountable for the roll out of the global health and safety activities and initiatives aligned to Sodexo’s COMEX “call to action”.

This is a work at home role, and you can be based in any Sodexo location globally.

Role Responsibility

  • Work with the VP Global HSE on the deployment of the health and safety “call to action”, engaging COMEX and Group HSE Committee (especially members acting as sponsor for each workstream)
  • Work as part of the Global HSE team to ensure alignment of global initiatives
  • Work with the HSE Professional Family to benchmark current practices and to bring all relevant materials to nurture the global design phase, as well to anticipate on possible local adjustment without compromising the minimum requirements
  • Work with the regional teams and PMOs to ease communication, to coordinate regional roadmaps and to give support for implementation, adapting when required online and face to face meetings to support deployment
  • Work in collaboration with the L&D teams to develop specific training requirements and training solutions
  • Build the global project charters and monitor it so that the deployment phases are strictly followed throughout the project
  • Define the project steering groups needed to accomplish the project targets.
  • Lead the global planning and ensure gate approval by the Group HSE Committee
  • Organize the steering groups to accomplish the global design phase while mobilizing all the required resources and keeping on board all stakeholders.
  • Be the expert or facilitate access to expertise of the safety management system, processes, and tools

The Ideal Candidate

  • Educated to at least degree level in HSE or engineering bias
  • Understanding and experience of working with behavioural safety and cultural development programmes
  • Analytical skills
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience of deploying and supporting a global business process and tool
  • Experience in building, maintaining, and enhancing professional networks to deliver change
  • Experience of working with project management tools, processes, and best practice techniques
  • Experience training groups of resources in the use of a new tool
