General Operative

Raheen, Limerick- Full time

As a General Operative with Sodexo, you'll enhance the services of our vibrant corporate site, offering a helping hand to ensure flawless facilities operations and keep things running smoothly.

What you'll do:

• Demonstrate sound working knowledge of building and fabric systems, including minor facilities works.

• Perform minor carpentry and civil repairs (doors, cabinets, shelving installations, plastering, concreting, painting, etc.).

• Carry out fire door maintenance and support plumbing-related tasks.

• Maintain quality relationships with clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors.

• Work collaboratively within a self-managed, multi-skilled team to deliver high standards of service.

• Ensure Health & Safety compliance across all contracts within your remit.

• Respond promptly to service requests and assist colleagues, clients, and visitors with professionalism and care.

• Participate in cross-functional meetings to support continuous improvement.

• Keep facilities areas such as meeting rooms, kitchens, mailrooms, and lobbies clean, organised, and inviting.

What you'll bring:

• Proven experience in a facilities, maintenance, or similar client-facing technical role.

• Technical proficiency in building systems and minor works.

• A methodical and analytical approach to troubleshooting and tasks.

• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.

• Positive, energetic, and proactive attitude.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Commitment to safety, with a strong awareness of HSE practices.
