General Manager

Job Introduction

  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday 9:00 to 17:00. However, flexibility is required as you may be required to work additional shifts outside of these hours including evenings and weekends based on business needs.

 Whatyou’ll do:

  • Overall accountability and responsibility for the day to day management, co-ordination and control of Cleaning, Catering, Tailoring, Bar Work, Shops, and Café on site, including Cleaning Manager, Mess Manager, Catering Manager 6-7 supervisors and circa 60 on site staff
  • Maintain excellent client/customer relationships
  • Work in conjunction with department managers to plan, organise and coordinate service activity across the site
  • Active involvement, promotion and support of activities aligned towards employee engagement 
  • To contribute to the growth of services in order to meet client and commercial expectations whilst maintaining strict budgetary control in line with client and Sodexo expectations

What you bring:

  • Driving License is Essential
  • Knowledge and experience of working in a management role within the soft FM service industry
  • Leadership skills and knowledge
  • People management skills including general HR skills in recruitment, training and managing employee performance including disciplinary and grievance procedures.
  • Management knowledge of health & safety and food safety
  • Due to security clearances you must have been resident in the UK for a minimum of 5 years
