Deputy General Manager

Job Introduction

  • 40 Hours Per Week
  • Varying 8 hour shift between the hours of 7:30 to 19:30 Monday to Friday. However, flexibility is required as you may be required to work additional shifts outside of these hours including evenings and weekends based on business needs.

You'll be responsible for assisting the General Manager and help to lead Catering, Hospitality, Retail and cleaning services on site, meeting contractual and financial parameters and being the main point of contact for departmental managers on site.

 Whatyou’ll do:

  • Ensure the efficient and financially controlled delivery of all Catering and Hospitality services across the designated site. 
  • Plan, organise and manage delivery of all services within all the catering operational business areas 
  • Ensure standards of service detailed in the service level agreement, KPIs and within the schedules of the contractual terms and conditions are achieved, maintained and developed for assigned operational business area
  • Maintain excellent client/customer relationships
  • Manage all aspects of performance of an assigned group of 4 direct and 76 indirect reports 

What you bring:

  • Proven knowledge and extensive experience of working in a senior management role within soft FM services, high-volume catering, hospitality or retail.
  • Demonstrable track record of successfully controlling budgets and reducing operational overspend, specifically in food or retail consumption.
  • Strong people leadership and management skills, including the ability to manage performance, conflict, and engagement across diverse teams.
  • High-level management knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Safety legislation and practical application.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, capable of making independent, commercially sound decisions.
