General Manager - Bateaux

Job Introduction

 

Sodexo Live! are currently looking for an experienced General Manager to captain our team at Bateaux London to deliver a world class guest experience.

Located right on the river at Victoria Embankment, Bateaux London takes you on a journey through London from the Thames, sailing past iconic sights including the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and the London Eye.

This highly-prestigious, long-standing business of 2 river cruise boats, is looking for an experienced individual to take the helm, bringing together the Heads of Departments within the team (namely Marine, Operations, Finance, Sales & Marketing, Culinary) to host incredible events throughout the year, sharing expertise and driving standards and employee engagement to ensure a highly effective operation.

Role Responsibility

  • Deliver market-leading event experiences
  • Build and nurture strong client relationships
  • Work strategically with your sales team to drive growth in your venues
  • Drive profitability of the business
  • Lead, develop, manage and motivate a large high performing team
  • Support the Divisional Managing Director in the development of business strategy
  • Identify opportunities to drive efficiencies and maximise operating profit whilst maintaining a high standard of service

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven track record in operational management in a similar environment
  • Experience of working in or around the food and beverage business.
  • Ability to interpret and utilise financial and commercial information
  • Attention to detail & accuracy
  • Ability to work on own initiative & to be proactive
  • Resilient, determined and able to work flexibly and proactively
  • Relationship building with colleagues from site level to senior management
  • Experience of working successfully with P&Ls and driving bottom line profits through improved sales and managed costs.
